This post is the beginning of my new life. I know that sounds a little dramatic - a little cliched, even - but it's true. I also know at this point that I'm not ready to make declarations about having a new life or starting one, but I don't have a choice at the point. Actually, I do have a choice. I can keep doing things the way I've been doing them, or I can break free of all the shit that's been holding me back and maybe learn something in the process.
This blog is going to be a running journal of that process. It's named after a No Doubt song that means something to someone who means everything to me. As I'm writing this, it's making me really sad to think about it, but here are the lyrics:
Run, running all the time
Running to the future
With you right by my side
Me, I'm the one you chose
Out of all the people
You wanted me the most
And I'm so sorry that I've fallen
Help me up, let's keep on running
Don't let me fall out of love
Running, running, as fast as we can
Do you think we'll make it?
(Do you think we'll make it?)
We're running, keep holding my hand
So we don't get separated
Be, be the one I need
Be the one I trust most
Don't stop inspiring me
Sometimes it's hard to keep on running
We work so much to keep it going
Don't make me want to give up
Running, running as fast as we can
I really hope we make it
(Do you think we'll make it?)
We're running, keep holding my hand
So we don't get separated
Running as fast as we can
I really hope we make it
(Do you think we'll make it?)
We're running as fast as we can
I really hope we make it
We're running, keep holding my hand
So we don't get seperated
The future...
Running, running, as fast as we can
Do you think we'll make it?
(Do you think we'll make it?)
We're running, keep holding my hand
So we don't get seperated
Running as fast as we can
I really hope we make it
(Do you think we'll make it?)
We're running, running, keep holding my hand
So we don't get seperated
I should have listened when I had the chance. This fucking sucks. More tomorrow.
